Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Finite Element Analysis software is used to simulate the loads and resulting stresses which a particular design might experience in the field. These time and money-saving computer simulations are used to select designs for prototypes. We later use these prototypes to test products with actual loads to confirm our design loads and safety features. Temperature and pressure tests are other types of analyses often used to prove special designs to our customer. Check out our technical section for a sample detailed analysis of a transition piece.

Electronic Data Interchange

PT&P regularly conducts electronic data interchange with customers. We dedicate an in-house team of software developers and integrators to setup intra-company electronic processes that increase data accuracy and reduce cycle time.

Customer Specific Product Databases

With certain customers, PT&P has created material take-off databases and drawings for their pipe support standards.  These systems allow PT&P to accurately and more efficiently fabricate standard designs used by major E&C firms.  This also permits PT&P to modify and add to the database quickly when customers create new designs.
