The snubber must be oriented alongthe direction of the movement of the pipe during impulse loading. For horizontal pipemovement the snubber must be installed horizontally and likewise forvertical pipe movement, the snubber must be aligned in the verticaldirection. Additionally the direction of the end brackets will allow thesnubber to rotate in the lateral direction to accommodate small deflectionsperpendicular to their main axis.
