How do you set a piping spring support? |
|
Setting the load on a spring support should be done after all hydro-testing has been completed. The first step would be to remove the hydro-test stops. Then, one would utilize the load column to adjust the tension on the spring unit so that its load is equal to the installed setting (cold setting). At that time, the other travel stop can be removed, allowing the spring to properly function.
