How does a spring pipe support work? |
|
In a variable spring pipe support, the spring works under the basic principal that the pipe movement will be accommodated by a compression or decompression of the spring coil. The amount of pipe movement will determine, along with the stiffness of that spring support, how much of a load difference is seen between our initial position and our final position. In a constant spring support, the spring works in connection with an intergral cam mechanism to allow pipe deflection during its operating cycle without changing the force or the load seen at the pipe connection point.
