What type of situations would exist where the installed load is greater than the operating load? |
This would occur when the spring is specified
for upward travel or in other words, upward movement. An example of the load
becoming less during operation would be in a steamed line where in our initial
stage our pipe would be filled with water and subsequent heating of that pipeline would produce steam; the steam having
less density than water would produce a lighter load at that location.
