Piping Technology and Products, Inc. designed and manufactured four PTP-8 Type C variable spring assemblies for a power plant in South Carolina.  These variable spring assemblies with an average overall length of 87" are fabricated from carbon steel. Each assembly consists of a variable spring, a rod, a clevis and hex nuts. The springs are designed for operating loads ranging from 22,500 lb. to 24,500 lb. and a total travel of 5". For quality assurance, the spring coils are inspected and tested individually for proper operation.
