PRESSURE VESSELS (page 1 of 2)

Sweco Fab, Inc. is PT&P's fully owned subsidiary that manufactures ASME code pressure vessels. When customers give us a design, we are responsible for making sure that the design is in compliance with the code specifications. Our Sweco designers are also very versatile, working on projects in designing heat exchangers, thick-wall expansion joints, and pig launchers and receivers.

This photo shows Senior Staff Specialist Bob Sonier discussing the variety of items our Sweco division designs and fabricates with a tour group. All items which require an ASME U-stamp, indicating strict code compliance, follow the procedures and documentation described in the Sweco Quality Control manual.

This photo shows some small pressure vessels fabricated from a special alloy metal for a geothermal power plant.

These photos show a pressure vessel designed for use as a containment for smaller vessels which contain a lethal gas. The opening and closing of the smaller vessel is done with an external mechanism while the larger one is sealed to prevent personnel from coming in contact with the gas.
